The Drawing or Sheathing of the Sword

✏️ We are either trusting in ourselves or in God. God must be our source of sufficiency and satisfaction.

✏️ David is provoked to put his trust in his army and their size. He numbered the army’s of Israel and brought down God’s wrath in Israel. God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem. David repented and offered prayers and sacrifices and God stopped the plague. 

✏️ When we disobey God it affects all our brothers and sisters. We are a united family.

✏️ When our confidence turns to numbers, power, or self‑effort, God’s just sword may be drawn against us; but when we repent, intercede for others, and return to costly, obedient sacrifice, that same sword is sheathed in mercy and the Lord makes our lives holy ground—so stay fully surrendered to God and trust God to fight your battles.
