What Is In Gods Heart

When Nathan heard what David desired to do for God, he immediately thought it was a great idea. He didn't even hesitate to give David his blessing and let him know that God would really like that as well.

Many times we have noble and lofty thoughts concerning what we'd like to do for God, yet fail to truly understand what's in God's heart. We look at it as doing something FOR God… as if He and others around would be impressed and happy about our grand idea and accomplishments. However, He doesn't exist by what we can provide for Him. He's self-sufficient. He wants to fellowship with us and have free access to our hearts and lives.

Have you misrepresented God’s heart? Have you supposed He wants you to build Him some great building? He wants you to surrender all your heart.
